Winter wonderland
This engagement session was the day after the first snow of the year. It was also my first "snow" session, and I had so much fun! I love it when clients are willing to go along with my ideas! Thanks guys for freezing your -you know what- off.

Grace.
I know there is a very anxious dad awaiting these photos. So here they are finally! On another gorgeous November day we met at a local park. It took a little while for this little sweetheart to warm up, but we eventually got her smiling and laughing.
*fyi my son has a huge crush on Grace, and you can see from the pictures why. She is adorable and just a little sweetie!
It was great to see all of you and thanks for being patient. ; )

Brothers
Last Sunday I met these two cutie pies at Collins Park. It was a GORGEOUS day for November. There were people everywhere, some were even laying on the lawn. I am only posting one picture of each of the boys and none of them together so that any x-mas card pictures will still be a surprise. ; ) Thanks guys, and hopefully the game of shark attack and the trip to Jersey Junction were worth them having to smile for me!

Mikaela & Lydia
A few weeks ago I went to Lansing to take pictures of my friend Lindsay's daughters. It was so cute to see the girls together, it reminded me of when our son was born. Mikaela is about the same age as Samina was when Nolan was born. It was great to see you guys!!

Katie & Scott ~ Engagement Preview
On Sunday I took a few *wink* pictures of my sister Katie and her fiance Scott. Even though it was Mother's Day, I couldn't have asked for a better time. It was a whole family affair, complete with our mother bumping the "love" tunes from the car.
I also was able to use my new ORANGE couch. Katie and Scott are getting married in the Fall and one of the wedding colors is orange. Although I won't be shooting the wedding, my good friend Alex will be, I had so much fun shooting their engagement pictures.
Here is one of my favorites, more to come soon.

Earlier this week I got to photograph this adorable little guy. He is at a fun stage where he is still a baby, but learning to crawl and be more independent. I had a lot of fun, thanks guys!

Happy St. Patty's Day
Here are a few pictures of my little leprechauns. I hope everyone had a fabulous green day. I think we might be seeing green tomorrow with all of the green colored food we ate today.
This morning we went out to breakfast with my mother-in-law and had green eggs and ham. Nolan refused to eat the green eggs! They did have a funny look to them. Then we had a little party and had even more green goodies.

Sweet little Melody
Last week I had the pleasure of spending time with this sleepy little girl. She opened her eyes briefly for her mom and I.
I just loved her cute expressions.

The Good and the Bad..
This past weekend was definitely eventful. Friday night my sister Katie came over and had dinner with Nolan and I. After the little one was in bed we decided to watch a movie. But, we wanted to watch one through Netflix online. What that means is we spent an hour figuring out how to hook the TV up to the computer AND HAVE SOUND!! The movie was good and it was even better to spend time with my sister.
Then Saturday came. It started off great. I met up with several other area photographers and we attended a local workshop. I gained some knowledge and spent time with some wonderful ladies. Then my klutzy self turned a good weekend around. As I was getting out of the car I slipped on a patch of ice. Well, slipped isn't the exact motion, it was more like I did the splits. For a 5 month pregnant lady to do the splits, it's not a pretty sight. The worst part was when my knee twisted in the wrong direction. All is good now, besides my embarrassment at displaying yet again my gracefulness or lack there of.
So, I am looking forward to Spring and less obstacles for me to encounter!!
Here is a picture of my sister with Nolan last year. It is one of my favorites. I love seeing them together and the bond they share.

Stinky car...
Currently I am driving a 16 year old Jeep. My Husband bought it brand new and it has been a wonderful vehicle all of these years. BUT, it has become the stinky car.
We have to pick our daughter up from school, because the school does not have busing. So, when the kids walk by our Jeep, they hold their noses. Our oil burning smell fumigates the whole parking lot. I'm sure whomever is behind us in line is surely sorry.
We are currently looking for a new vehicle, but it is bittersweet. I feel that our Jeep is a loyal and faithful friend, and we are somehow betraying her (yes her, I figure it must be a her since my husband bought the Jeep) When she stalls out I want to pound the dash board, but it's not nice to hit your friends or anyone for that matter. Especially if you want them to still be around.
I never thought I would be so happy driving an older vehicle. But the freedom and pride of driving an older car far out weighs the lure of a shiny new vehicle.
